Projects
Deep Learning Project – Personal ML Exploration:
I'm currently working on a machine learning project in PyTorch to strengthen my understanding of deep learning through hands-on model development. This work allows me to explore neural architectures, loss functions, and optimization strategies in depth. My passion for AI has grown through the research and design projects I’ve taken on, and I’m deeply committed to pursuing this field long term.
Personal website:
Designed and built a fully customized portfolio site using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to document my academic journey, research contributions, and creative work. Focused on clean UI/UX and modular updates.
Real Estate guide:
Authored The Homeowner’s Survival Guide, a practical resource to support families navigating foreclosure, predatory lending, and housing insecurity. Includes legal FAQs, budgeting tools, and community resource directories.
VitaliPatch
VitaliPatch is a transdermal microneedle patch aimed at reducing infection rates and improving post-op recovery for C-section patients. Worked closely with a teammate to develop the concept, refine therapeutic delivery mechanisms, and pitch the design to clinicians and engineers. It's a project I'm very passionate about because it's an initiative to solve issues that are currently rampant in the medical industry.
Activities
Chi Alpha at UVA
Active member since 2022
Core Group Leader — August 2024 to May 2025
Being part of Chi Alpha, I had the opportunity to lead a small group of 10+ students in weekly Bible studies, gospel discussions, and prayer as part of Chi Alpha’s Core Group ministry. Collaborated with co-leaders to plan lessons, organize fun activities like games and hangouts, and create a welcoming space for friendship, faith, and spiritual growth.
Intramural Soccer
I’ve played intramural soccer since my first year of college as a way to stay active, connect with friends, and build community. It’s been an outlet for relieving stress, especially during intense academic seasons
National Society of Black Engineers
Active member since 2022
I’ve been a member of NSBE since my first year at UVA. It’s provided an incredible space for mentorship, professional growth, and connection with other Black engineers pursuing excellence in STEM.
Society of Women in Engineering
Active member since 2022
Through SWE, I had the opportunity to volunteer as a guest educator for middle school students. I led lessons on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, helping them understand how the heart and lungs work together to keep us alive, and showing them how exciting science can be.
Awards & Recognition

Volunteering
C4K
Engineering Volunteer — August 2024 to Present
Mentored a middle school student through weekly STEM-focused sessions, exploring various hands-on activities and collaborative learning experiences. Together, we developed a photography project where we captured and edited images using Adobe Photoshop to build both creative and technical skills. Since neither of us had prior experience with Photoshop, we learned together and supported each other through the initial challenges until we both became confident in our editing abilities. This experience allowed me to share my passion for STEM education in a meaningful, personalized way while building a strong mentor-mentee relationship based on curiosity, mutual growth, and discovery. Below are some of the images we captured and edited:
Center Church
Sunday school teacher — June 2025 to Present
One of my favorite volunteer roles is serving as a Sunday school teacher at Center Church in Charlottesville. Each week, I have the privilege of sharing the Word of God and teaching children about Jesus, helping to raise up the next generation of disciples.
Conversations to Remember
Volunteered weekly to engage in one-on-one virtual conversations with senior citizens experiencing dementia during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Provided companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social interaction at a time when many families were unable to visit their loved ones. This experience deepened my empathy and strengthened my communication skills while reminding me of the value of simple, human connection.
